Cry of the soul

At times, the soul cries to be free of this limited world. The world where everything is divided. If you belong to a particular nation, you can not travel to the other nation without a visa. The world is divided among nations, nations are divided among states, states are divided among communities, communities are divided among families and families are divided among individuals. Even individuals are divided among genders. Why do we have to live such a limited life?

We have created all these divisions and we feel secure belonging to a particular division. But, do these divisions actually provide us any security? Even if they provide some sort of security, is that security worth the freedom that we compromise? Don't we become too limited by belonging to these divisions?

We have forgotten the teachings of Vedanta which tell us that the entire universe has emerged from the same consciousness and will merge into the same. We are the "unit" of the same consciousness that has given rise to the entire universe. If we somehow observe deep inside ourselves, there is no division of time or space. Time and space both are just creations of ignorance. At the level of consciousness, there is complete oneness. 

Probably we have become so used to the ignorance that we do not have even the slightest of the memories of the awareness left. Like a fit man falling ill with a chronic disease for a long time and forgetting what health means begging from doctor to doctor for medicines that may reduce pain slightly. Failing to realize that these temporary painkillers are a very poor substitute for health. He needs to work on holistic health rather than consulting one specialist after the other. Blinded by ignorance, we are also seeking security and pleasure in these divisions, ignoring the whole. The divided and limited can never make us happy. The inner soul wants to fly freely.

On the surface, many of the friends and relatives appear to be happy. We go a little deeper and the hidden pain comes to the surface. It is not at all possible for any soul to be happy living with these divisions. The fundamental nature of the soul is divisionless. Why should a soul restrict its interaction with the would of a particular nation, state, community, religion, or gender? I find no sane reason for such divisions. A collective ignorance is somehow perpetuating these divisions. 

I wish that consciousness will soon guide this world to be a place for souls to live without divisions where they can freely interact and explore. The collective ignorance has to sooner or later give way to the collective awareness. A place where none of the soul is bound by any divisions. Every soul is free to explore different fields of knowledge and thought processes of different realized human beings, different places, different roles, and different human beings. No free soul can be comfortable being confined to narrowness. It is the fundamental nature of the consciousness to be free.
