Ignorance: Preparation for the awareness

 A seed remains inside the soil for quite some time to come out of that to grow in the form of a plant. A baby also spends quite a lot of time inside the womb to grow into a baby. During such time, the seed as well as the baby remain in deep darkness unable to see the ray of light. However, that darkness is probably necessary for their growth into a plant or baby.

Looking around, we find similar darkness around. The present-day society is so obsessed with materialistic pursuits that there is hardly any ray of hope. People, organizations nations, almost everybody, are running after materialistic pursuits. They all have material prosperity as the sole target. Connection to the soul (light) seems to be nobody's wishlist. 

However, on the other hand, the collective ignorance is also leading to a kind of unrest and an urgency to come out of the ignorance. People are trying different ways and means to get a glimpse of that light in different forms. Some are trying to get that light by getting intoxicated by taking different types of drugs and alcohol. Those moments of freedom appear to be so dear to these people. Some try to get a glimpse of light by visiting different places, some by tasting different foods, some by sensory stimulations, some by connecting to different people, some by dominating them, some by helping others, some by putting more and more information into their little brain, some by developing the faculty of analysis, some by making their bodies stronger and some by testing the limits of their body and mind by undertaking seemingly impossible tasks.

All these ways and means are trying to find the ray of the light inside the soul or the womb of the mother. Ignorance needs to exhaust all these means and once it gets tired of these futile efforts, it will surrender to the divine, which is always ready to guide us and, in fact, hold us in His arms, the world of light. That can not happen till we feel secure inside the womb and do not want to come out of that. The moment we realize that the security and comfort of the womb are just to enable us to grow into a baby and there is a whole new world to explore, we will be afraid, panic, cry, pray, and make all our efforts not to come out of the womb. 

However, once a baby comes out of the womb or a plant comes out of the soil, there is no going back. It is quite clear that the journey inside the womb or the soil was necessary for its growth. Had it come prematurely out of the womb or the soil, it would not have been able to face the world. At the same time, once it comes out, it very well understands the joy of the light and would never like to go back to the womb or the soil. It realizes the immense possibilities in the world of light and gets busy playing around exploring and creating in the world of light.
